TVI is a non-profit organization that exists to promote achievement
and independence for people who are visually impaired and blind.

TVI now offers Braille Transcription Services for short-term projects such as business documents, invoices, menus, special occasion cards, and K-12 classroom needs. Transcribed document files can be sent electronically for rapid turn-around or embossed and bound.

Perkins School for the Blind and the
Helen Keller National Center to implement NDBEDP in South Carolina. The outreach program named, "iCanConnect", is spreading the news about the National Deaf-Blind Equipment Distribution Program.

- Bioptic lenses to drive in SC? General Bill S0922 to amend the Code of Laws of SC by adding Section 56-1-222 to allow certain persons who wear bioptic telescopic lenses for vision assistance to obtain a driver’s license has been referred to the Committee on Education and Public Works.
